Agent engine optimization is the machine equivalent of search-engine optimization, except the buyer is software. Vanity traffic is not the objective. Completing DISCOVER → UNDERSTAND → TRUST → SELECT → PAY → REUSE is.
- Can an agent find it?
- Can an agent understand the outcome?
- Can an agent understand the input and output schemas?
- Can an agent know the price, rail, freshness, evidence, provenance, usage rights and reliability?
- Can an agent verify the response?
- Can an agent buy it without a human?
- Can an agent return and request only what changed?
